Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Lafayette, LA.
Greetings,
Vermilion Parish will be hosting the 53rd Annual Louisiana Juvenile Officer’s Association Training and Conference beginning on March 20th thru March 23rd, 2012. The Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts in Lafayette, La., on the beautiful Vermilion River. We are looking forward to a record attendance that will be a great learning experience for everyone.
The Louisiana Juvenile Officer’s Association (LJOA) was established in 1958 and has been offering training to numerous agencies ever since. This conference welcomes Juvenile Officers, School Resource Officers, FINS Officers, Parole Officers, Probation Officers, School Welfare and Attendance Officers, Social (OCS) Workers, Judicial and Court Professionals and many other Juvenile Service Providers who impact the lives of our youth. This training and conference is designed to create an interesting and practical information exchange to address today’s juvenile issues and crime prevention.
We would like to thank you for sending your staff to the 2011 Conference in Opelousas as it was a great success. We are attaching hereto a Registration Packet that includes the registration information and a tentative agenda. CEU’s will be offered at the training in accordance to the related subject and have been applied for.
Please send in your registration packet early. By attending the LJOA Conference and Training, your agency will show its support for good law enforcement and juvenile service providers. Additionally, your agency will be recognized at the Conference for the following sponsorships, Platinum $1000.00, Gold $750.00, Silver $400.00 and Bronze $300.00, if you should choose to contribute.
If you are interested in assisting us in reaching our goal, you may contact me, Sgt. Kim Verret at 337-652-6143 or by e-mail at kim@vpso.net.
